1. 25 firefighters clean up massive chocolate spill in Germany
It’s probably the best kind of accident you could hope for. A chocolate factory in Germany sprang a leak, resulting in a huge flow of molten chocolate which then froze onto the road outside. A total of 25 firefighters were called in to shovel the chocolate off of the road.

2. Facebook’s California offices evacuated after bomb threat
After the NYPD received anonymous tip about a bomb threat at a Facebook facility in Menlo Park, California, the offices were evacuated yesterday evening. A bomb unit was called in with explosive detection dogs that conducted a sweep of the building. No suspicious packages or devices were found and the building was cleared.

3. New Zealand has legalized medical cannabis
As attitudes surrounding cannabis around the world continue to change, the New Zealand Government passed the most progressive drug legislation that has ever gone through their Parliament. New Zealand legalized medical cannabis this week. Most patients will have to wait a year before it comes into full effect, but terminally ill patients will be allowed to begin using medical cannabis immediately.

4. Just for Laughs founder Gilbert Rozon charged with rape
Founder of Just for Laughs Gilbert Rozon has been charged with rape. The prosecutor's office in Quebec announced the charges today. He faces one count of indecent assault and one count of rape in relation to an incident that allegedly took place in 1979.

5. Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou granted $10 million bail
A Canadian judge has granted Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou a bail of $10 million. The amount includes $7 million in cash and $3 million in collateral. She remains in Vancouver while awaiting possible U.S. extradition proceedings.
