1. Super modern Russian robot turns out to be man in suit
Don’t believe everything you see on T.V. or the internet. In Russia, a “high tech robot” that could dance and do other incredible things was showcased to the public on state T.V. However, a gaping hole revealed to viewers that the robot was actually just a human inside a suit. Bloggers then found identical robots for sale online.

2. Alleged burglar rescued after spending 2 days in grease vent
A man was rescued by firefighters after spending two days trapped in a grease vent on the roof of a Chinese restaurant in San Lorenzo, California. Local police believe he was attempting to burglarize the restaurant, but aren’t sure what to charge him with since he didn’t actually make it inside. When he was being taken to hospital by emergency crews, it looked like the man had been dipped in oil.

3. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announces 2019 inductees
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has revealed who will be inducted in 2019. There were 15 nominees, seven of which were chosen to be enshrined in the hall. They include The Cure, Def Leppard, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Roxy Music and The Zombies. Nicks becomes the first woman to be inducted into the Hall of Fame twice after getting in with Fleetwood Mac 20 years ago.

4. Several killed or injured in high-speed train crash in Turkey
At least nine people are believed to be dead after a high-speed train crashed in Turkey. The train was en route to Konya from the country’s capital of Andara when it hit a railway engine and crashed into an overpass. In addition to the deaths, dozens of people were injured in the devastating crash.

5. Former Canadian national team skiers sue Alpine Canada
A trio of former Canadian nation team skiers are suing Alpine Canada over abuse from their former coach Bertrand Charest. The athletes say Alpine Canada failed to protect them from physical, sexual and psychological abuse at the hands of Charest, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison for sexual assault a year ago.
