1. Dad books 6 flights to spend Christmas with his daughter
It could be called the parenting move of the century and it’s a gesture that’s warmed more than a few hearts this holiday season. The father of a Delta airlines flight attendant book seats on six different flights over Christmas so that his daughter could be around family while she worked over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

2. Search suspended for 20-year-old entertainer lost at sea
Arron Hough was working as a dancer on a Royal Caribbean Cruises cruise ship, but he fell overboard on Christmas Day. The 20-year-old went missing 267-miles northwest of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and his disappearance sparked a huge search. However, that search has since been suspended.
The search for a Sunderland cruise ship entertainer, who went overboard in the Caribbean on Christmas Day, has been suspended.

3. Chris Brown facing serious jail time for owning pet monkey
Chris Brown has done some bad stuff in his short life, but his latest endeavour could have him in jail for up to half a year. The 29-year-old faces two counts of having a restricted species without a permit in relation to his pet capuchin monkey. The animal was seized by California authorities earlier this year and Brown now faces six months in jail.

4. The choose-your-own-adventure Black Mirror movie is here
Black Mirror: Bandersnatch is now live on Netflix and it had many around the world staying up late to enjoy the experience. The entire film is ‘choose-your-own-adventure’ and it comes with five possible endings. The quickest path through the film is 40 minutes, but the average viewing time is around 90 minutes.

5. Melting arctic is pouring 666-billion tons of water into the ocean each year
A new study has uncovered a worrisome statistic. It found that arctic ice is melting at such a rapid rate that it’s pouring 14,000-tons of water into the ocean every second. That equates to 666-billion tons of water each year, adding around 3 millimetres to the world’s ocean level each year, says NASA.
