1. U.S. military helicopter crashes in Iraq killing all on board
A U.S. military helicopter crashed in Iraq on Thursday night, killing all seven people on board. The crash was not due to enemy fire. It’s being reported that the helicopter hit a power line, causing it to go down.

2. March Madness is officially underway
March Madness started on Thursday and it certainly lived up to the name. There were some great games and a couple of upsets already, including Buffalo’s bracket busting win over Arizona. There was also some heroics in the other upset, as Loyola-Chicago hit a buzzer beater to knock off Miami.

3. Remember, there’s no crying over spilled milk
It was an interesting scene in the United Kingdom on Thursday, as a truck hauling milk lost its load. The spilled milk ended up all over the A40, giving new meaning to the phrase “no crying over spilled milk.” Sadly, a truck carrying cereal didn’t crash nearby.

4. Man gets 30 years in prison for killing former NFL/CFL player
Former NFL and CFL running back, Joe McKnight, was killed in an apparent road rage incident in December 2016. Ronald Gasser shot and killed McKnight after an altercation in a Louisiana intersection. On Thursday, his killer was sentenced to 30 years in prison for the crime.

5. Well-known Indian singer convicted of human trafficking
One of India’s biggest entertainment stars has been convicted of human trafficking. Daler Mehndi and his brother, Shamsher Singh, illegally sent people abroad disguised as members of their troupe. They were both sentenced to two years in jail, although Singh died in 2017.
