The Russian opposition leader and critic of Vladimir Putin, Alexei Navalny, was moved to Germany after being poisoned on a domestic flight in Russia. He posted from his hospital bed saying he was able to breath without help.

On Monday, at least eight protesters were charged with arson and rioting after a protest broke out over a police-related shooting in Lancaster. Lancaster Police released bodycam footage of the shooting and the officer involved has been placed on leave.

In an interview with CBS' Face the Nation, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said that the status of the COVID-19 vaccine would be known by the company by end of October. If safe, effective and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, the vaccine could be distributed to Americans before the end of 2020.

Progressive Conservatives under Blaine Higgs have won the New Brunswick election. Higgs has officially been reelected as premier of the province. It's the first time a government in New Brunswick has won two consecutive terms since 2003.
