The royal baby was born today and now the world is waiting on a name.
With the knowledge that the baby is a boy, the gambling odds on that name have changed significantly over the last few hours.
The betting favourite is Arthur, but oddsmakers have been wrong on Will and Kate’s name choices before.
After correctly predicting George as the name of the couple’s 2013 child, oddsmakers were way off on Charlotte in 2015, predicting Alice as the heavy favourite.
On PlayNow, the British Columbia Lottery Corporation’s online betting service, there are four names with better than 10 to 1 odds, which are Arthur, James, Albert and Philip.
Those have to be considered the four heavy favourites, as another nine names have odds between 10 and 20 to 1 to be picked.
