When it comes to music and hockey, Stompin Tom Connors likely comes to mind much quicker than legendary rapper Snoop Dogg.
However, the Doggfather is actually a pretty big hockey fan.
The Long Beach, California native is often spotted at hockey games in the Sunshine State and even had a memorable and rather explicite show at the NHL All-Star Skills Competition a few years back.
On the weekend, Snoop D-O-Double G tried his hand in the world of hockey broadcasting during a clash between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center.
However, before he hopped in the broadcast booth, he dropped that ceremonial puck like it was hot right in front of Sidney Crosby himself.
It's not the first time the iconic rapper had been on the mic during an NHL broadcast either.
Back in 2007, during the Anaheim Ducks Stanley Cup run, Snoop and Scott Oak sat down for one of the more hilarious interviews ever done on Hockey Night in Canada.
At this point, the rapper could even have a greatest hits of hockey related moments.
