One BC resident was safely rescued last week after he pinned himself between a vehicle and locked gate.
On Sept. 13, a 29-year-old man from Trail was standing at the front of his vehicle to check on the engine.
Unfortunately, the vehicle was left in neutral, rolled forward and trapped the man.
Mounties say a few hours went by before a nearby resident finally heard the man yelling and called 911.
The Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue arrived on scene with police and paramedics at about 3 am.
Fortunately, the fire department brought specialized tools to free the man.
He was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
“It was an unfortunate incident for the man to be caught in this unique position,” said Sgt. Mike Wicentowich with the Trail RCMP detachment.
“We are happy that someone heard the yelling and contacted authorities to help bring this to a successful conclusion."
