Anyone looking to travel east on the Trans-Canada Highway should prepare for a lengthy closure between Golden and Revelstoke on Tuesday.
DriveBC says the highway will be closed for avalanche work from 8 am to 5 pm.

Highway 1 will be closed in both directions for about 142 kilometres Townley Street in Revelstoke and 14th Street North in Golden.
No detour will be available through Hwy 1, so drivers should plan a different route or consider delaying their trip on Tuesday.
DriveBC is expected to provide an update at about 4:30 pm on Feb. 7.
