A Salmon Arm woman is celebrating after winning over $760,000 on an 80-cent bet.
Baillie Bridle said she won the cash with her final spin on BCLC’s PlayNow Wheel of Fortune On Air.
Her total winnings came to $762,395.26.
“I was playing for a bit and said I’d finish playing after the one final spin,” she explained.
“The universe all seemed to come together with that spin. I can’t even begin to wrap my head around it – it’s so shocking, so surreal.”
It was her first time playing the game, she said.
“When I found out just how much I won, I was just in disbelief,” Bridle explained.
“I originally wanted to make it a surprise for my husband, but I just had to tell him right away.”
As a born-and-bred Salmon Arm resident, Bridle said she has no intention of taking the cash and leaving town.
“We might buy one luxury item – a boat, since we’re right by the Shuswap,” she said.
