Canada-US border closure extended another month

The closure of the US-Canada border will be extended another month as the COVID-19 crisis rolls on, Public Safety Minister Bill Blair has announced.

It will now remain closed until Oct. 21, though the closure is likely to be extended again as in the past.

Blair explained: "We will continue to base our decisions on the best public health advice available to keep Canadians safe."

The border remains open for essential services.
