The Penticton RCMP reported that a man from Penticton drowned in Yellow Lake on Friday afternoon.
The man was 82 years old and had been fishing at Yellow Lake.
The Kaleden Volunteer Fire Deparment, BC Ambulance and Penticton RCMP arrived at the scene at 1:20 p.m. on Friday to an overturned small, aluminum boat and two men in the lake.
Witnesses reported that other boaters came to the aid of the fishermen who were in the water.
Both men were brought to shore, but only one survived.
The Penticton RCMP is continuing to assist the BC Coroner Service with the investigation.
