Avengers: Endgame was expected to do well in theatres and was not unexpectedly breaking records — but it has managed to shatter over 20 records in its first several days in theatres.
So far, the all-star cast presented under the Marvel banner has raked in $1.2 billion with its global debut, reports Box Office Mojo.

Marvel’s newest movie has also broken 25 records in its short time on the screen, knocking off Star Wars: The Force Awakens for largest Thursday previews — $60 million and $57 million, respectively — as well knocking off its prequel Avengers: Infinity War on several record categories: largest Saturday, largest Sunday, and largest domestic opening weekend.
