Along with free movies, the concessions will also be offering candy, popcorn and drinks for just $2.50 each.

The proceeds from that, and any extra donations people decide to make, will go to WE Charity.

Also for $2.50, there will be a variety of fun, movie-themed merchandise like plush toys, action figures, key chains and other accessories for sale with those proceeds going to WE Charity as well.

"Community Day is a great opportunity for families and friends to enjoy some quality time together in support of a great cause," said Ellis Jacob, president and CEO, Cineplex.

"WE is dedicated to inspiring and empowering our youth and as one of the country's largest employers of young people, we are proud to play a continuous role in positively shaping their futures."

Participating theatres, which includes most Cineplex theatres across the country, will open at 9 a.m. local time on Saturday with tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis.
