(UPDATE: July 9 @ 1:15 p.m.) - Rock District founder Brandon Cochran has confirmed that refunds are available for locals who had tickets to the cancelled Magic! concert on Friday, June 21.
This was the wording from last month's cancellation press release issued by Cochran on Wednesday, June 19.
"Patrons who live out of town will receive refunds from point of purchase," said the release.
"Tickets purchased by locals will be honoured at any future Rock District Island Stage concerts of equal or greater value starting in 2020."
However, in addition to having the tickets honoured at future shows, Cochran says refunds are available to locals as well.
With no future island stage show planned at this time, the only exchange offer for ticket holders is for a ticket to September's Denim on the Diamond.
(UPDATE: June 19 @ 1:30 p.m.) - Magic! will no longer be playing the Island Stage in Waterfront Park on Friday.
A release from Rock District says the cancellation is due to "unforeseen circumstances," but it's believed that the show was struggling to sell tickets.
Unfortunately for Kelowna residents who did have tickets to the Friday night show, they won't be getting their money back.

Rock District offered its "deepest apologies" for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation.
(Original story: Feb. 22 @ 11 a.m.) - The band behind one of the hottest top 40 singles of the last decade is coming to Kelowna.
MAGIC! will be performing on the Island Stage in Waterfront Park on Friday, June 21.
It’s the second outdoor show put on by Rock District after the new production company brought Bahamas and Yukon Blonde to town for a show last July.
The Toronto-bred, Los Angeles-based MAGIC! will play their hits, including the song “Rude,” which had the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks in 2014.
An opening act for the summer show has not yet been announced.
Tickets are now available and will set you back $49.50 plus fees if you buy them advance.
If any are left on the day of the show, they’ll be sold for $65 at the door.
