22nd annual Santa Bus to cruise through the Central Okanagan over the next 7 days

The Central Okanagan's 22nd annual Santa Bus gets rolling today.

Until Saturday, Dec. 7, the Santa Bus will be attending several different locations in Kelowna, West Kelowna and Peachland to collect donations.

All food, toys and cash donations will go directly to the Salvation Army’s Christmas Assistance Program.

The 2024 Santa Bus kicks off with public events at Canadian Tire and Save-On-Foods in West Kelowna today.

From there, the bus will visit several elementary schools, restaurants and other public spaces.

The campaign will end with a final event on Dec. 7 at Kelowna’s Stuart Park skating rink.

Last year, over $48,000 was raised, including $3,259 in cash donations, 1,615 toys estimated to cost $32,300 and $12,515 in food and gift cards.

An estimated 1,000 families were helped through last year’s campaign.
