Peak Pride and Rebellious Unicorns are set to return to Sun Peaks Resort for their signature pride event next week.
From March 30 to April 2, there will be a variety of pride festivities to partake in.
“No matter who you are or how you identify, we’re sure you’ll find an enjoyable event for Peak Pride,” said Dustyn Baulkham, the festival’s creator. “We’re very excited for the volume and variety of events we have planned for the weekend.”
“Sun Peaks was our last Peak Pride before the pandemic and we are thrilled to be returning.”
The pride festival will kick off with drag bingo at Masa’s Bar and Grill on Thursday night.
On Friday, there will be QUSIC Après, a music series to showcase 2SLGBTQ+ artists at Morrisey’s, Unicorns Reawakened, a free stage show at Sun Peaks Grand, and Ella’s Drag Karaoke at Masa’s.
Saturday will be the most event-filled day, with activities running from sunrise until after sunset.
The scheduled events include the Morning MX coffee meet up hosted by HIM, a rainbow skate, a pride parade, another QUSIC Après, and the signature drag show and dance part event, FruitCake.
On Sunday morning, there will be flow yoga hosted by Sun Peaks Yoga, followed by drag brunch at Mantles Restaurant and Lounge.
A mix of newcomers and Peak Pride favourites are scheduled to perform at the festival.
