It’s the biggest market event of the year and it’s officially underway at Prospera Place.
Today is day one of the highly-anticipated three-day Craft Culture Holiday Market (CCHM) in downtown Kelowna.
The annual event kicks the Kelowna Rockets out of town and sets up shop in Prospera Place to give residents a great opportunity to do some holiday shopping.
Over the next three days, more than 200 talented artisans and crafters will be selling an extensive selection of handmade goods inside the arena.
Products you’ll find at the CCHM include specialty foods, pottery, clothing, jewellery, pet products, unique decor and so much more.
“With so much to see, we recommend setting aside enough time to visit all the vendors,” says organizer Karalyn Lockhart.
You can find a market map and list of vendors on the Craft Culture website.
With over 10,000 attendees in 2023, the CCHM is one of the busiest annual events at Prospera Place and the signature event of Kelowna’s holiday market season.
It costs $7 to get inside, but you can also secure a weekend pass for $10. Kids aged 15 and under get in free. You can buy tickets at the door, but you’ll get in faster if you secure them online in advance.
Organizers suggest visiting the CCHM on Friday night or Sunday afternoon if you’re looking for a quieter shopping experience with lighter crowds.
While the market runs from 1-7 pm today to accommodate the standard work schedule, it shifts to the more regular 10 am-5 pm time for both Saturday and Sunday.
