The public had the chance to sample some tasty treat to get an idea of the City’s palette today, and had them saying “Bon Appétit!”.
The Taste of Downtown Kelowna returned for its eighth annual year to raise funds for the Okanagan Food Bank.
The mouth watering event was a great success, raising $6,000 within three hours. In total 22 local businesses got involved in the sold out afternoon of sampling foods for a cause.
Foodies were able to make their way around downtown with a map of locations to sample the culinary delights. They had from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. to visit as many restaurants as they could and collect signatures for a chance to win some amazing prizes.
There were 1,000 passports available for purchase (for a $5 minimum donation) and there was a limit of six passports per person.
Last year, the event managed to raise $5,600 for the Food Bank.
