Colwood calendar contest accepting photo submissions until end of October

There is still time to submit your best photos of Colwood from 2021.

The City’s calendar contest is running until Oct. 31, 2021.

Residents of all skill levels are invited to submit their pictures to create the 2022 calendar, which will celebrate the beauty of the community.

Submissions showcasing the different times, locations, and seasons of the past year are encouraged.

You can also visit their website and scroll through the photo entries so far and vote for your favourites.

Mayor Rob Martin will have the difficult task of deciding which photos will be included in the calendar, but the votes from the public will help him make his decision.

There are a few things to keep in mind when submitting. Firstly, the photo must feature a location within Colwood.

The mayor will also be looking for composition, creativity and impact, so make sure your picture is clear and pleasing to the eye!

Photographs must be submitted in high resolution digital format of between 300 and 600 dpi and horizontally orientated.

Submitted photos must not be currently held in copyright by any individual or organization and must be previously unpublished work.

Each winner will receive a gift card to a local Colwood business. Each photographer is eligible to win, at most, three entries for the contest.
