The transit operator was able to stop the bus and have all of the passengers get off safely.

The suspect remained on the bus and continued being aggressive, even banging on the divider protecting the driver.

Officers arrived and were able to arrest the suspect without incident.

The suspect had an outstanding warrant for an unprovoked assault at a bus stop in Saanich in December, as well as two recent assaults on transit buses in Saanich and Victoria in January 2021.

The suspect remains in police custody and is facing mischief and uttering threats charges stemming from the incident this morning.
