Dozens of locals flocked to the Paramount Theatre in downtown Kamloops on Thursday night to kick off the annual Kamloops Film Festival.
Over the next 10 days, attendees can enjoy 23 independent films from creators across the country and the globe, celebrating every type of genre imaginable, from documentary to comedy and even horror.
Ticket holders celebrated the 23rd edition of the event by strutting their stuff down the red carpet prior to enjoying a 7 p.m. showing of “This Mountain Life”, followed by a Q & A session with the filmmaker and lead subject.
Those eager to become immersed in all the movie magic boasted by the festival still have time to get tickets via the KFF website, in addition to viewing the schedule of events that features everything from a “Frozen” sing-a-long, to post film discussion at various downtown hot spots.
