Kamloops saw another rise in thefts from motor vehicles last week

Kamloops residents feeling safe about their whips may want to put them back in the garage.

After the city saw its fewest thefts from motor vehicles in months last week, thieves were out and about. According to police, a total of 41 thefts from motor vehicles took place throughout the city.

Highlighted by yellow cars, most thefts occurred in North Kamloops with 15 taking place between the Halston and Overlanders Bridge.

Downtown saw a total of five thefts, the most on the south side of the city. TRU and Valleyview both saw three as well.

Thefts not shown on the map included one in the Campbell Creek area.
