The City of Kamloops, United Way Thompson-Nicole Cariboo and Interior Community Services are working closely together to improve the Seniors Yard Waste Pickup Program.
“The City has operated this program for years, however, we are limited in our capacity to administer it properly,” says Natalie Serl, the City’s Acting Social and Community Development Supervisor.
“With their Better at Home program, the United Way is better equipped to assess the needs of our residents and administer the program for those with income, mobility, or capacity challenges.”
This program allows seniors to have yard waste, such as grass clippings and leaves, picked up directly from their home.
Registration for fall pickup will start this week!
