Kelowna man wanted on a warrant out of NWT arrested in Kamloops

A Kelowna man wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant was located in Kamloops on Monday following a report of a suspicious vehicle.

On Dec. 5, just before 7 am, police officers attended the 700-block of Downie Street, where witnesses claim a vehicle had been running with its headlights on for a couple hours.

During the investigation, a man located in the car was identified as being wanted on a warrant out of Yellowknife, NWT.

Kamloops RCMP say the warrant was related to a charge for possession of property obtained by crime.

Moosa Mohammad Khan, 22, was scheduled to appear in court this morning for the warrant.

Kamloops Mounties continue to look for information related to the incident and ask anyone with information to give them a call at (250) 828-3000 and reference file 2022-43171.
