UPDATE: Kamloops RCMP says missing man travelling with trailer has been found safe

(UPDATE: July 9 @ 4:10 pm) - Mounties in Kamloops have confirmed the whereabouts of Colin Hurrell.

A release issued this afternoon said he is "safe and sound."

"The RCMP thanks the media and public for their assistance," it added.

(Original story: July 8 @ 4:35 pm) - The Kamloops RCMP is turning to the public in hopes of tracking down a missing man.

Colin Hurrell was last seen in late June driving his truck and trailer eastbound on the East Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) in Kamloops.

The 49-year-old was reported missing to police on Tuesday, July 2, after he failed to connect with his family and friends.

“Police and Colin’s family and friends are concerned for his well-being and are reaching out to the public to try and connect with someone who has recently come into contact with Colin or his truck and trailer,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.

“It’s possible that he may be staying in his trailer in the Kamloops or Chase area, and we’re asking anyone with information to please reach out as soon as possible.”

Hurrell’s vehicle is a white Ford F250 pickup with BC plates VL4505, while the trailer is a white fifth-wheel Tango RV with Alberta plates 6PP811.
