RCMP are renewing their plea to the public to come forward with new information regarding a missing Falkland man.
According to police, Bjorn Collnes was last seen on September 9th in Falkland. He was reported missing on September 12th after he failed to return home from a scheduled trip to Kamloops.
Collnes' brown mini-van was located by police abandoned on Hwy 97 west of Westwold on the same day he was reported missing.
Since Collnes went missing, police, along with local Search and Rescue teams, have conducted extensive ground and air searches where his vehicle was located. The RCMP Underwater Recovery Unit also conducted a search of Monte Lake.
"We are very concerned about Mr. Collnes wellbeing and are asking anyone who may have any information about his disappearance to contact police," said Cst. Kelly Brett. "Investigators are also asking for any dashcam footage that may have been captured by passing motorists, between the hours of 1:30 am, Monday, September 9, and 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 12 on highway 97 between Falkland and the Monte Lake area."
Collnes is described as a 72-year-old Caucasian man with blue eyes and brown hair. He stands at 5'7" and was last seen wearing a Harley Davidson shirt, camouflage shorts, and brown running shoes.
