(UPDATE: March 29 @ noon) - The daughter of a man stabbed to death on Saturday night has reached out to KamloopsNow to clarify that there was not a party.
She says the four men, which included her father, all live in the apartment and were drinking beers together when the 43-year-old suspect entered the home and attacked them with a knife.
KamloopsNow reached out to the Kamloops RCMP to inquire why the term "party" was used in the initial RCMP press release and received the following response.
"We are at the early stage of this investigation and there is very little reliable information that we can provide to the public at this time," said Staff Sgt. Simon Pillay.
While the initial RCMP release did say the stabbing happened at a party, we have chosen to honour the daughter's wishes during this difficult time and remove the word from our headline, at least until more details are made available on Monday.
