Another Kamloops staple has officially reopened amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Thompson-Nicola Regional District announced this morning that its downtown Kamloops Civic Building had officially reopened to the public. As of now, the administration office located at 300-465 Victoria Street will be open every day from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Following guidelines put in place by the province and WorkSafeBC, new protocols have been put in place to ensure the safety of all visitors and staff. Plexiglass barriers have been installed and signage is in place to assist with physical distancing.
In addition to those measures, people entering the building will go through increased screening measures and are asked to use the hand sanitizer provided.
At this time, the Kamloops Library still remains closed. Residents can still use the Library Takeout service to pick up their favourite reading materials.
