Kamloops RCMP has one youth in custody after another threat was issued towards a Kamloops school this morning.
According to police, the arrest came following information police received from Interpol. RCMP was alerted after a post on Snapchat which showed the youth holding two pistols with a captioned that threatened a school.
As a precaution, Kamloops Christian School will be closed for the day.
"We are confident that we have the author of the threat in custody, and that there are no risks to the school staff or students at this time," said S/Sgt Mat. Van Laer. "These threats to school are very demanding on police resources and are taken very seriously. They also disrupt students, staff and parents. Anyone caught making such threat can be facing very serious consequences"
Because the child is under 18, no more details will be released at this time.
