After garnering a lot of attention and success from their first fundraising event, the Intercultural Women’s Education Network (IWEN) Canada will be at it again. On May 14th, volunteers will be out in full force to help raise funds for Nepal and the victims of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that rocked the country on Saturday, April 25th.
Having already raised a total of $14,160 solely from cash donations, IWEN is eager to see how much money Saturday’s bottle drive has brought in.
With dedicated volunteers in tow and a steady stream of vehicles passing by with bottles and donations, it was a great day for IWEN and consequently Nepal.

In light of their success, IWEN will be holding an Earthquake Relief Pub Night Fundraiser on May 14th at Rose’s Waterfront Pub in Kelowna. Tickets are $20 and include a burger (beef, chicken or veggie) as well as a drink (beer, wine or highball).
Beginning at 7:00 p.m., the festivities will also include live music and a silent auction. All proceeds raised from the event will support relief efforts in Nepal.
IWEN is also looking for silent auction items for this fundraising event.
For more information contact IWEN at info@iwencanada.com or check out the IWEN Facebook page. Tickets for this event are available online.
Working with their partners in Nepal, IWEN Canada will be assisting the people of Nepal in any way they can. IWEN Canada is also collecting funds for their humanitarian efforts online.
