Saturday, July 25th marks a very special day for Kelowna’s Gospel Mission as a women’s recovery home celebrates a milestone.
Harmony House will mark 20 years on Saturday. The house opened its doors in 1995 to broken, hurting women in Kelowna. In 2006, Shiloh House opened, adding a second residence to Harmony Ministries. Over the past 20 years, hundreds of women have passed through the doors of the homes as they transitioned into independent living. Harmony provides a safe supportive environment to grow strong in recovery and faith.
“It has been a gift to work at Harmony with all the women, watching them grow into health and wholeness,” said Nancy Tordiffe, Director of Harmony House. “Every day is an exciting adventure with our women! I’m so blessed to be part of life at Harmony and Kelowna’s Gospel Mission.”
Harmony House is focused on providing women the opportunity to re-build their lives. Live-in programs offer freedom from addictive lifestyles, equipping each person with the tools to live healthy lives long after leaving Harmony House.
