The British Columbia Dragoons, who call the Okanagan home, were in Chilliwack on October 17th and 18th to complete their Individual Battle Task Standards training.
The Dragoons are an armoured reconnaissance regiment that serve as a primary reserve unit for the Canadian Armed Forces.
Weapons used on the weekend exercise included their C7 Service Rifles, M203 Grenade Launchers, that is fitted on some C7 rifles, C6 General Purpose Machine Guns, C9 Light Machine Guns, Browning 9mm Pistols, and C13 High-Explosive Fragmentation Grenades.
KelownaNow.com travelled down to Chilliwack with the unit to learn more about the local citizen soldiers who commit to every Wednesday night and one weekend a month to be a part of the British Columbia Dragoons.
