Rock icon Billy Idol will be coming to Kelowna during his 2016 North American tour.
Idol will entertain the masses at Prospera Place on July 14 as he brings his global tour “Kings & Queens Of the Underground Live” to the Okanagan.
Idol’s first studio album in almost a decade, Kings & Queens Of The Underground, came two weeks later on BFI Records via Kobalt Label Services. The album was primarily produced by Trevor Horn, with Greg Kurstin also contributing as producer to two songs, including the lead single, “Can’t Break Me Down.” USA Today declared “with its punkish drive, sneering vocals and roaring Steve Stevens guitar, Can't Break Me Down could have made a great follow-up to latter-day Idol hits.”
Idol has sold 40 million albums, had nine top forty singles in the U.S., and 10 in the U.K. including “Dancing With Myself, “White Wedding,” “Rebel Yell,” “Mony Mony,” “Eyes Without A Face,” “Flesh For Fantasy,” and “Cradle Of Love.”
Tickets for the show will go on sale April 8 at 10 a.m. at selectyourtickets.com and the Prospera Place Box Office. Ticket prices will start $59.50 and go up to $99.50 plus service charges.
