With many hot days ahead in the forecast, the Okanagan Valley is likely to smash some more heat records.
On Monday, May 2, the temperature in Kelowna is set to reach a sunny 28 C, according to Environment Canada. This is well above the seasonal normal of 18 C for this time of year.
The last recorded high was 21.9 C on this day in 2009.
The low of 7 C Monday night is also higher than the normal of 5 C.
Thursday is expected to be this week’s colder day, with a high of 22 C and a 60 per cent chance of showers.
Weather will perk back up at the end of the week, for a sunny and hot weekend, set to reach 30 C on both Saturday and Sunday
