Those looking to give an opinion on the topic can complete an online form.

Back in July, the mayors of both Kamloops and Kelowna met with IHA medical health officer, Dr. Silvina Mema, to discuss the possibility of getting safe injection sites.

Currently, both cities are being considered for safe injection sites, although the projects will have to be approved by Health Canada.

All resident submissions received before Nov. 18 will be included in the IHA’s application to Health Canada. Any letters received after that date will be reviewed by the project team but will not be included with the application.

Do you think Kamloops and Kelowna would benefit from safe injection sites? Let us know in the comments.
