Starting on December 1st, one block in Kelowna will be lit up and welcoming residents to visit for the cost of a non-perishable food item.
Candy Cane Lane residents, who live on Gramiak Road, Collison Road and Mary Court, have been decking out their houses with lights and Christmas decorations to get people in Kelowna to come take a look.
Promising a walk that will get you in the Christmas spirit, Candy Cane lane has been dubbed a “typical everyday neighbourhood with a magical twist for four whole weeks.”
Up until December 31st, you can take a stroll through the self-made winter wonderland and donate to the Central Okanagan Community Food Bank while you’re at it.
“We are trying to break last year’s non-perishable food donation haul of 9,000 pounds,” said organizer Damjan Madjar. “We are back in full effect, bigger and better that the year before!”
