Camper van in lake may have been intentional

Investigators suspect that a camper van that ended up in Okanagan Lake might have been put there on purpose.

Emergency crews responded to a report of a brown, 1984 ford van in Okanagan Lake near the Cook Road boat launch at 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

Upon arrival, it was discovered that no one was inside the van, which was approximately 20-25 metres off shore.

Early indications suggest that the van may have been unoccupied when it entered the lake and it’s now suspected that it was intentionally guided into the frigid waters.
