Man dead after falling from downtown Kelowna balcony

Kelowna RCMP have confirmed that a man has died after falling multiple stories in Kelowna Friday night.

On March 17th at around 10 p.m., RCMP responded to an apartment building on the 13000 block of Ellis Street.

Investigators have confirmed that a man fell from a balcony onto the buildings protruding second floor balcony.

"Investigators interviewed several witnesses at the scene," said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey. "At this time, police do not believe that foul play is involved in the man’s death.

"As such the investigation has now been turned over to the BC Coroners Service." 

The identity of the man along with further details of the incident are yet to be released.
