(UPDATE: 10:10 a.m.) - Rising water levels have forced the Regional District of Central Okanagan to close for green space.
Regional Parks staff has now closed the trail in Glen Canyon Regional Park from Brown Road to and including the Gellatly Road parking area.
The closure is due to flooding and high, fast flowing water in Powers Creek.
(Original story: 8:40 a.m.) - Two underpasses along the Mission Creek Greenway have been closed due to rising water levels.
The trail under the Casorso Road bridge and on both sides of Mission Creek at the Gordon Drive bridge have been closed until further notice.
The Regional District of Central Okanagan urges people to respect the barricades and signs posted at these locations.
The underpasses will remain closed until water levels recede.
While the underpasses are closed, pedestrians and cyclists are asked to use caution while crossing Casorso Road and Gordon Drive.
Motorists are also asked to play their part and watch for Greenway users who may be crossing the road in these areas.
Regional Parks staff will continue to monitor creek levels along the entire Mission Creek Greenway.
Water levels are expected, however, to continue rising due to recent weather and spring runoff.
With that in mind, people are reminded that water levels can rise unexpectedly and you should stay a safe distance from the creek banks.
