Man charged with indecent exposure in Rutland area

A man is facing multiple charges after allegedly exposing himself inside a business on Thursday afternoon in the Rutland area.

The suspect is 59 years old and was taken into police custody on Thursday after the incident which occurred in the 200 block of Rutland Road.

The suspect left the store in a Dodge Ram pickup truck and was later stopped by police on Rutland Road.

Since the incident, Jeffery Michael Gates has appeared in Kelowna Law Court. He as been charged with indecent exposure and failing to comply with his recognizance, or obligation of bail out of Alberta.

He has been ordered back to court and is scheduled to appear on June 1.
