C-Lovers will make a return to the Kelowna market this summer

Slowly but surely, businesses that were forced to close to accommodate the Dilworth Shopping Centre redevelopment are finding new homes in the Kelowna market.

In the spring, Jysk opened the doors to its bigger and better location in Orchard Plaza, and now C-Lovers is preparing to do the same in Capri Centre.

The popular fish and chips restaurant says it will open up shop later this summer at 104-1835 Gordon Dr., between Dollarama and Global Pet Foods.

As was the case for Jysk, the move means a bigger space for C-Lovers, as the new location will have double the seating capacity as their old spot.

C-Lovers fans who are craving some all-you-can-eat fish and chips can still visit the business in West Kelowna while waiting for the new Kelowna location to be ready.

It’s a big year for C-Lovers, as the fish and chips chain that debuted in Coquitlam in 1984 is celebrating 40 years in business.

An Ocean Wise partner, C-Lovers has won the hearts of many fish and chips fans over four decades with hand-selected Alaskan halibut and locally-grown farm fresh kennebec potatoes.

“C-Lovers focuses solely on superior food quality, exceptional down to earth service, and prices that represent exceptional value for our guests,” their website says.

“Our modern family friendly atmosphere appeals to a multitude of loyal customers, whether its friends and family or the local business professionals.”

C-Lovers shut the doors for good at its old location in Dilworth Shopping Centre on July 29, 2023.
