The Cops for Kids Ride was welcomed back to Kelowna today after a 10-day journey and 1,000 kilometres.
Upon their return at the Ramada Hotel in Kelowna today at 11:30 a.m., the riders were greeted by a supporting crowd. KelownaNow went to talk to some of the participants about their adventure.
The six RCMP members and 25 riders participating in the journey departed on September 8th for the 16th annual Cops for Kids Ride.
Participants had the opportunity to meet some of the families that their efforts are supporting along the way.
Each rider had to raise a minimum of $2,000 on top of training for their adventure on their own time. The 2017 Cops for Kids event made $320,000 in support of children in our community.
