Craft Culture Spring Market takes over the Kelowna Curling Club this weekend

The ice will be replaced by dozens of vendors at the Kelowna Curling Club this weekend.

The Craft Culture Spring Market takes over the building on Saturday and Sunday with 115 vendors putting their products on display.

Kelowna’s largest spring craft market features the most renowned selection of crafters and artisans from all across Western Canada.

It’s one of two large craft fairs hosted by Craft Culture every year, offering crafters, artisans, chefs and farmers a place to sell their products.

You can find everything from woodwork to gourmet foods, home decor to handmade clothing and plenty more.

All potential vendors are screened when they apply for a spot at the market, which makes sure that their products meet the show’s guidelines and offer the best possible selection for consumers.

“The handmade movement is showing no signs of slowing down. We are so humbled by the amount of dedicated customers who visit our events and support local artisans year after year,” said organizer Karalyn Lockhart.

“Residents of the Okanagan are very supportive of small businesses. We see so many vendors succeeding. It is incredible to watch all of these entrepreneurs flourish.”

Not only will there be great products to buy, but attendees will also be able to enter a draw for more than 30 handmade door prizes.

That includes a grand prize package from Predator Ridge Resort valued at $800, which features a one night stay at Predator Ridge Lodge, a round of golf and a restaurant gift certificate.

The first 50 people lined up at the door each morning will also receive a gift bag full of vendor samples and gifts.

The market runs from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 7 with an admission fee of $5.

Kids under 12 are free and there’s a $2 discount for students and seniors after 2 p.m. both days.
