We’re just a few weeks away from the excitement of Denim on the Diamond returning to Kings Stadium.
Now in its fourth year, the festival is bigger and better than ever as they’ve added an additional day of boot-stomping fun.
When the lineup was first dropped back in April, organizers promised that a number of additional artists would be making an appearance at the two-day festival.
Well, the time has finally come and the official lineup for the September long, music-filled weekend has been released.
Now joining the likes of Matt Maeson and Delaney Jane on Friday is rock duo, The Blue Stones and BC-based, Blonde Diamond.
The Blue Stones released their debut album Black Holes in 2018 and in 2020 were nominated for Breakthrough Group of the Year at the JUNOS.
Their song ‘Shakin Off The Rust’ went to #1 on Canada Rock radio; ‘Let It Ride’ was charted at #2; Black Holes (Solid Ground) peaked at #3; and ‘Be My Fire’ topped out at #4.
Blonde Diamond is a Vancouver-based dream-pop band that blends together the sounds of synth pop-rock giving off a futuristic 60s sound.
As for Saturday, Kelowna local Jodie B has also been added to the weekend lineup alongside The Reklaws, JJ Wilde, Tebey, Coleman Hell and Boy Golden.
Jodie B’s original craft is a blend of hip-hop and electro-soul, inspired by FKJ, Atmosphere and Rufus Du Sol. This multi-instrumentalist and live loop performer is sure to be an act you don’t want to miss.
With the two-day jam-packed lineup in place, the only thing left to do is snag tickets for this country/ rock/ alternative festival in September.
Weekend passes and single-day tickets for the festival, which takes place on Sept. 2-3, are still available through the Denim on the Diamond website.
