A transformative evening is set to unfold at the METRO Hub on Ellis Street, starting at 6 pm on November 15th. The Elevate Her Event promises an inspiring journey of learning and empowerment, all in support of two remarkable causes - Her International and the Child Advocacy Centre of Kelowna.
Her International stands at the forefront of empowering girls and women in Nepal and Canada through education. The focus extends beyond conventional learning, with initiatives like scholarship programs for girls, mothers' groups, micro-credit opportunities for moms, and leadership training for female youth.
This unique approach aims to elevate communities by increasing knowledge, abilities, and life skills.
The Child Advocacy Centre (CAC) is a beacon of hope and support for children facing adversities. A non-profit organization, the CAC brings together a team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to collaborating on cases, preventing re-victimization, and ensuring the long-term well-being of children.
They also provides vital support to non-offending caregivers, emphasizing a community-wide commitment to protecting children from abuse.
The Elevate Her Event promises a night to remember. Attendees will be treated to a Champagne reception, a selection of fine wines, appetizers, and delectable desserts.
The evening will also feature engaging activities, including silent and live auctions, a musical performance by the talented Ellen Churchill, and keynote presentations by esteemed speakers Linda Edgecombe and Hugh Culver.
For those eager to participate, there are several avenues to show support. Attendees can join in person at the METRO Hub or opt for a live stream, available with a small donation and starting at 6:30 pm on Nov 15th. Additionally, for those unable to attend physically or virtually, a direct donation option is available, contributing to the lasting impact these organizations strive to achieve. Find out more here.
