‘Exciting culinary experiences’: Kelowna Cheese and Meat Festival returns this spring
If you love a good charcuterie board with a glass of wine to go with it, you won’t want to miss this event.
The Kelowna Cheese and Meat Festival is set to return to the historic Laurel Packinghouse this spring.
The 2024 edition of the event will be held on Saturday, May 25.
Organizers promise “an exclusive and boutique culinary experience” that will showcase an array of delectable offerings paired with great wine.
"The Kelowna Cheese and Meat Festival is designed to alleviate the challenge of purchasing specialty food products without the ability to taste them," said David Bain, the event’s director.
"By providing a platform for producers to showcase their offerings and interact directly with consumers, we aim to facilitate the creation of demand while introducing attendees to new and exciting culinary experiences."
This year’s festival will draw over 40 vendors, both local and international, to give attendees a chance to explore and indulge in a large selection of artisan cheeses and premium cured meats.
If you like something you taste, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase products directly from suppliers at discounted prices.
“Spanning both indoor and outdoor spaces, the Kelowna Cheese and Meat Festival offers a unique setting for culinary exploration and socializing,” explains a release from the festival.
“Organizers are excited to announce that vendor lineups will be revealed in the coming weeks, promising a diverse array of offerings to tantalize every palate.”
Last year’s event sold out, so anyone interested in attending in May should mark their calendars for 10 am on Feb. 21, which is why tickets to the 2024 edition go on sale.
