The Kelowna Fire Department had its hands full with a fire in the Mission neighbourhood on Wednesday night.
Crews were called to the 3600 block of Lakeshore Road around 6:30 pm for reports of a house fire.
When officers arrived, they saw the flames coming from the house’s roof and second-storey windows.
“The crews performed a defensive attack from the exterior and protected the other residences to the north and south,” said a KFD release that came through around midnight.
“Fire crews (remained) on scene as part of the building has collapsed and complete extinguishment is difficult.”
