Fire crews tackle morning fire in multi unit commercial building

Members of the Kelowna Fire Department were rushing off to a call shortly after sunrise this morning.

They received the 911 call just after 7 am On Thursday with reports of smoke coming from a multi-unit commercial building in the 2700 block of Enterprise Way.

Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from the bay door of one of the units and a fire on the second floor mezzanine area.

"It did cause some smoke and minor structural damage," reported Kelowna Fire Department in a release.

According to officials, the blaze is believed to have been started due to a problem with the electrical.

The fire will be investigated by the KFD and RCMP.
