Kelowna’s Gospel Mission is preparing to undergo its largest Christmas Match Campaign to date, beginning on Monday.
The KGM’s goal is to raise $300,000, as up to $150,000 in donations will be matched by a group of donors.
The campaign will raise funds from Nov. 20-28 to provide food, shelter and support services for people in Kelowna.
“I am so thankful for all of our match partners whose generosity is inspiring the greater Kelowna community to donate and see their impact multiplied during our week of giving,” said Troy McKnight, director of resource development.
“I am always overwhelmed by the compassion and support that we see throughout the year, but I am especially moved by the outpouring of generosity and care we experience over the holiday season.”
The KGM adds that the campaign is even more important this year because of the rise in the cost of living, the housing crisis and local wildfires.
Donations can be made online at this link or by mail to PO Box 22087 Capri PO Kelowna, BC V1Y 9N9.
